Published purpose
The Canadian Council of Archives will organize and host a Monetary Appraisal Forum, offering the Canadian archival community and broader heritage sector an opportunity to explore current issues related to archival monetary appraisal practices and knowledge, with a focus on the appraisal of electronic records. Not all appraisers are equipped to appraise all types of fonds or collections, and more specifically, those including electronic records. The Forum will provide a platform to share knowledge, present the findings of the Electronic Records Committee, and discuss strategies proposed for the future of monetary appraisal in Canada, especially for digital materials.
