Published purpose

Avalon Sexual Assault Centre will use the contribution to further integrate CAF-linked service providers into the H-SACSN while supporting critically under-resourced services at Avalon that are already being accessed by survivors associated with the CAF community (uniformed members, their families, civilian employees, contractors and others impacted by the CAF presence in our community). All core Avalon services are integrated into the Network model. The H-SACSN will strengthen relationships with organizations and service providers that work with different populations to identify and reduce barriers to information and support services, increase communication and care coordination, improve service delivery competency, strengthen the referral process, and reduce the risk of re-traumatization for victims/survivors. Members of the Network work together and with survivors to identify barriers and collaboratively problem solve to build responsive services for diverse groups, creating a community-supported system of healing and support.
