Published purpose
We need to assess the feasibility to apply Artificial Intelligence for designing dental prosthetic frameworks. Digital dentistry uses stereolithographic file format (STL) for describing a dental framework in 3D. AI infrastructures utilize cognitive Application Program Interfaces (API). Each API can analyze a specific type of data (speech, text, 2D images etc). STL cognitive API, able to analyze dental framework shapes, are not available yet. Prior to testing deep learning algorithms (Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Restricted Boltzmann Machines, Neural Network Autoencoders etc.), it is necessary to assess the feasibility to develop an STL cognitive API able to deal with large database.
