Published purpose
The project goal is to use currently existing commercial CROSSFIRE instrument air compressor technology to capture and compress vented casing gas from CHOPS wells while simultaneously measuring and quantifying the volume of capture gas. Project tasks include modifying current compressor design and materials to ensure compatibility with CHOPS gas, update of controller software and develop pressure and temperature compensations curves for real time volume measurement. In addition, the youth summer student will research other Methane reduction applications that the CROSSFIRE technology can be applied towards.
