Published purpose
The project has two parts: the primary part is to develop a smart battery charger for solar systems operating in the frigid cold, harsh & remote Northern Canadian. Our charger is specifically designed for the remote oilfields, telecom sites, mining and monitoring stations in the North. It will enable solar powered equipment to replace natural gas venting pumps, compressors and instrumentation. And to protect the batteries, so that thousands of them will no longer be destroyed every year. The 2nd part is to develop low cost Bluetooth multidrop network transceivers to support SCADA communication in oilfields. These devices will not only work with the LCO Crossfire Solar Power Pumps and Air Compressors but also with other vendors' equipment.
