Published purpose

The ability to remotely monitor in near real-time forestry harvesting and emergency operations as they unfold has been a challenge for the forest industry. The purpose of this project is to extend the capabilities of Lim Geomatics' current Op Tracker mobile app, which focuses on tracking the position and quantifying the productivity of forest harvesting machines, to include support for monitoring other types of heavy equipment used in forestry. Specifically, new Op Tracker software will be developed to integrate with third-party external sensors and controllers to monitor when a disc trencher mounted on a tractor for site preparation is in use and the position and pitch of a bull dozer's blade during fire suppression activities.
