Published purpose

This project is a combination of demand forecasting tool development and manufacturing system redesign and implementation with lean manufacturing principles. It is a productivity improvement and inventory reduction by eliminating the all kinds of wastes and inefficiencies from the manufacturing process and system. This project will focus on two key areas; 1) inventory reduction: to analyse the current inventory and its data in the ERP system for a better inventory planning and inventory reduction, 2) productivity enhancement and cost reduction: to identify inefficiencies, bottle necks and problems by performing a VSM . IRAP will provide Hi-Kalibre with necessary resources to achieve their project goal: 1) Inventory specialist or data analyst (full time), 2) Lean manufacturing engineer (full time) and 3) a lean manufacturing consultant. This project will reduce Hi-Kalibre’s operational cost and increase their competitive strength and company will be in a better position.
