Published purpose

The Fortran GLIDE I2V (Infrastructure to Vehicle) solution provides operational information from traffic signals to drivers in a format that will allow a driver to make more informed decisions regarding the operation of their vehicle. This will have the effect of decreasing the amount of fuel consumed, reducing the number of stops, lowering emissions as well as easing driver frustration. This project involves development of algorithms to accurately estimate the timing of the traffic signal as well as development of methods to use this information for optimization of traffic signal timing.
