Published purpose
The Project will support and focus PTAC (the Organization) activities on engaging NRC-IRAP client SME technology/solution providers on forming consortia with Oil & Gas (O&G) producers to secure funds and demonstration sites, and on supporting NRC-IRAP client SMEs for eventual commercialization of their technologies. In addition, NRC-IRAP client SMEs will continue to receive valuable information about the industry, assistance on how to make potential clients aware of their products and guidance on how to progress technologies to commercialization. The proposed Program will consist of two main steps with progressively deeper engagement and support of successful NRC-IRAP client SMEs. The Organization staff will work both independently and in collaboration with the lead NRC-IRAP Industrial Technology Advisor (ITA) to identify SMEs and projects that will provide benefits to the Canadian Oil & Gas industry and economy. Further, the Organization personnel and NRC-IRAP lead ITA will identify NRC-IRAP client SMEs which might benefit from the Organization’s support. For all activities supported in this agreement the Organization will verify with NRC-IRAP if the SME is an IRAP client, and if not, the Organization staff will assist NRC-IRAP to engage the SME. The Organization will also work with SMEs that may not be in their network that NRC-IRAP introduces to the Organization. The project will involve close collaboration between PTAC and IRAP ITAs in two main activities: a) SME Engagements for Product-Market Fit b) SME Engagements for Development of Projects and Formation of Consortia
