Published purpose

PTAC (Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada) will provide advisory support to NRC-IRAP client SMEs (small and medium enterprises) designated by NRC-IRAP with petroleum technology product-market fit (PMF) and with project and consortium development (PCD) to support the testing, demonstration and deployment of their novel technologies. The purpose of the initiative is to strengthen innovation capacity in NRC-IRAP client SMEs and the hydrocarbon industry as a whole. PTAC’s strength as an organization is as a node for connecting SMEs in the larger hydrocarbon industry. PTAC’s approach is to complement, collaborate and build on the support provided by other organizations in industry and government. The core value that PTAC enables is connecting SMEs with current, relevant market information that can focus a SME product or service offering. They achieve this through targeted networking and facilitation of technology demonstration and commercialization projects.
