Published purpose

Chief Medical Supplies (CMS) is responding to industry stakeholders urgently requesting an approved citric acid based heat disinfectant for use in the non-blood lines of hemodialysis machines. Presently there are no products with a DIN available for this specific application and the industry stakeholders (hospitals, patient advocacy groups, clinicians, manufacturers) are requesting a product with this specific application in the label claims. Currently foreign companies are misrepresenting similar unapproved products for this use jeopardize patient health and displacing a Canadian made solution. This project outlines the development, registration and commercialization of a made in Canada solution to this pressing health care concern.
