Published purpose

Steam traps are common valves found in all steam utilities, which includes central heating systems, thermal power generation, and many types of manufacturing. Steam traps are known to fail frequently, and these failures often go undetected, resulting in wasted energy and potential safety hazards. The ability to predict and rectify failures immediately improves plant efficiency, safety, and lean manufacturing practices. The primary purpose of this project, is to create the failure detection and predictive models, along with managing the large volumes of data collected. This will be the responsibly of the Data Scientist.
