Published purpose
ODI has developed and commercialized a first generation autobender technology for the forming of simple geometry cutting dies. More complex dies require additional manual work. This has posed a challenge to ODI to continue development of this technology investigating technologies such as robotics and vision systems and their potential application for this technology. This project will incorporate the work done to date by ODI on vision technology and robotics with the first generation autobender for an advanced, intelligent, and autonomous die cutting bender system with higher accuracy, more challenging geometries such as sharp corners, and higher throughput.
