Published purpose

Development of a new airborne geophysical instrument which comprises a vector magnetometer having three orthogonal superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) sensors. The system will have high sensitivity and wide dynamic range and will allow for the simultaneous measurement of the earth's field and audio frequency magnetotelluric (AFMAG) signals. The technology will be used for mapping geologic formations.
