Published purpose

Illu Inc., a Nunavut-based construction company is proposing to design and build a modular home manufacturing plant in Cambridge Bay where a wide variety of residential buildings will be built in the form of volumetric modules and panelized homes using alternative construction solutions such as cold formed steel (CFS), also known as light gauge steel frame (LSF) in an effort to provide faster construction and affordable housing solutions in the arctic.Illu Inc. is currently seeking funding assistance from IRAP so that the company can address key technical challenges associated with establishing a factory in the arctic and explore the feasibility of utilizing advanced CFS construction methods available in the market for creating housing.
