Published purpose

Wave View Imaging develops a new breast imaging technology providing breast health information, at the point of care, without discomfort. Thru the use microwave signals to create an image of breast tissues in minutes. Positioning the technology as a tool to monitor breast cancer treatment for which none of the established modalities are adequate. Currently there is a prototype at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary that is used to follow radiation therapy treatment; to be expanded to Neo-adjuvant treatment by the end of the year. Results correspond to clinical expectation and are very encouraging. The project goal is to develop a new device with much improved capability and manufacturable in larger scale.
