Published purpose
Edgecom Energy predicts the electricity peak demand in Ontario using an AI algorithm. This algorithm is used to dispatch Battery Energy Storage Systems and other Distributed Energy Systems (DERs) installed throughout Ontario. These DERs may be Natural Gas engine Load Displacement Units, Cogeneration, Trigeneration, Battery Energy Storage Systems or Building Automation Systems. Blockchain technology will be used to improve the security of the Network Operation Center which manages the dispatch of these resources, and to improve the communication.
