Published purpose

The purpose of the project is to develop a process for classifying failures in a PCCP system using Remote Field Testing (RFT). Given feedback from asset owners in industry, we understand the primary failure mechanisms to be: 1. Corrosion of the PCCP pre-tensioning wires (and sometimes the underlying cylinder) 2. Embrittlement failures of the wires. Russell NDE Systems wishes to embark on a course of controlled experiments to determine the fingerprints of both failure mechanisms in RFT data.
