Published purpose

The PainTrace® medical device is a monitoring system that provides a quantitative measure of pain in humans and in animals. Data analysis of pain peak level measurements and including the annotation of activity, examination, treatments, drug administration, and anatomy is paramount to the expansion of the application of the PainTrace® as a necessary health monitoring tool. To that end, peak detection algorithms to identify features and trends as changes in levels of pain as measured by the PainTrace® medical device and reliable speech to text annotation must be developed. Using analytics PainTrace® will have the capacity to provide a completely objective pain scale.
