Published purpose

Several rACE2-Fc molecules that have far higher affinity to the COVID19 viral spike RBD than the host ACE2 are being produced and purified by the NRC and collaborator JN Nova but a strategy for the selection of the best molecules to advance to preclinical trials is required. This Project aims at testing the proteins for their ability to neutralize viral entry using two assays developed at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, which are shown to be representative of the COVID19 viral infectivity mechanism on order to identify best leads for further development.
