Published purpose

EUREKA Consortium Project 15619 NOVIRALRISK – Risk of viral contagion in buildings from airborne-transmission of pathogens led by the National Research Council of Canada with partners from Germany, Finland, and Sweden. This project is intended as a means to provide specific scientific and technical building system information on strategies to optimize the operation of HVAC or passive ventilation systems within buildings and identify potential gaps in respect to their operation versus the recommendations provided by cognizant authorities of the participating countries. Air purification equipment will be evaluated as possible solutions for deployment in either existing or new buildings, thereby helping ensure the risk of contagion from airborne transmission is minimized .
