Published purpose
EUREKA Celtic Next - C2018/2-3 5G-SAFE-PLUS - 5G Enabled Road Safety Services with Sitowise Oy, Finland and other partners and countries. The 5G-SAFE-PLUS project aims to prevent traffic accidents and avoid casualties by delivering 5G-enabled time-critical road safety services to vehicles in participating countries: Finland, Canada, Romania, and Sweden, etc. This project will support enhanced 5G-networking capabilities and service enablers. Micro Engineering Tech. Inc. (METI) and the consortium of the 5G-SAFE-PLUS project will also introduce Gulo Gulo, vision-based navigation (VBN) solutions for the improvement of autonomous vehicles (AV)/connected vehicles (CV) navigation and awareness for the purpose of ensuring the safety of passengers and pedestrians and achieving true, Level-4 autonomy.
