Published purpose

A methodology will be developed for identification and characterization of those geological factors that have a large impact on the technical and economic performance of vertical miscible -EOR in the Devonian reefs of Alberta. Furthermore, an in-house program (potentially excel-based) will be developed for quick-performance evaluation of miscible (CO2) EOR in these reservoirs. Of particular interest are determination of those factors that determine technical and economic success of a project including the relation between injection rate/volume and bypassed-oil, breakthrough time producing GOR. Finally, the above methodology will be applied to number of the Devonian reefs of Alberta to rank their suitability for miscible-EOR.
