Published purpose
The creation of a custom mechanical turntable will allow us to properly run off axis anechoic SPL (sound pressure level). Many industry speaker reviewers are now including off axis measurements utilizing NRC (National Research Council) chamber which has been upgrade for motorized turntable. This customized platform will improve our SPL off axis measurement and implementation of new driver/crossover designs. Overall Objective 1) Design motorized mechanical plater that is driven to be able to adjust positioning of the speaker by the 1 deg, 5 deg, 15deg settings 2) Measure accuracy of off axis readings from anechoic chamber 3) Correlate with measurements from existing data from reviews from NRC chamber
