Published purpose

Identify, quantify, and implement design improvements which increase the scalability of the IPS designs. Specifically, increasing the expected lifetime of critical and functional features, reducing the number of custom parts (Design for Cost), reducing the manufacturing complexity of critical custom parts (Design for Manufacturing), and increasing the ease and repeat­ability of installation (Design for Installation).
