Published purpose
Banner will design, construct and test a prototype HVAC ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) disinfection and sanitation system for large-scale industrial building applications. Irradiation will be measured and optimized by testing various structures, reflective surfaces and bulb configurations. The reflectance properties of the typical ducting materials in which UV-C bulbs are housed will be tested under a variety of conditions and influencing parameters. Natural Catalytic Converter (NCC) technology will be incorporated into the design and tested for surface sanitation efficacy.
