Published purpose
This project is part of Global Affairs Canada’s International Youth Internship Program (IYIP), funded by the Government of Canada's Youth Employment Strategy. The IYIP aims to provide youth aged 18 to 30, living in Canada, particularly those facing employment barriers, with the opportunity to gain professional experience in international development. The project implemented by Éducation Internationale (ÉI) aims to provide international internships to young people, primarily to those in the school network who face difficulties in finding employment, especially those enrolled in vocational training and adult education centers in Canada, mainly in Quebec. ÉI aims to establish 102 internships, including 46 of 6 months and 56 of 4 to 6 weeks internships. The offered internships are in line with the visions and missions of local partners and contribute to the advancement of SDGs 4, 5, and 13, while aligning with the fields of action of the Feminist International Assistance Policy, namely: 1) gender equality and women's empowerment, 2) human dignity, and 3) environmental sustainability.
