Published purpose

Goods delivery systems are used to transport goods from a source location to predefined destinations, and these delivery systems are a fundamental component of commerce and trade. Industries rely on transportation and logistics network to leverage their supply chains. Logistics networks associated with the delivery of goods are highly complex, dynamic systems that are impacted by multiple time and resource constraints and factors. The objective of this Project is to develop and implement artificial intelligence (AI) based methods and tools to help build an intelligent regional logistics network for goods delivery that satisfies service level goals and minimizes financial and environmental costs. The Project seeks to provide AI-based solutions to the challenges associated with goods delivery by trucks in a routing network structure, which will lead to more efficient goods delivery service and support public policy objectives related to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
