Published purpose
EMS must find solutions to address the changing demands of our customers while maintaining our position as the world leader of high-capacity sandwich belt elevators. Marine side - transshipment platforms are becoming increasingly popular, and these platforms all require an elevating system that will transfer material from a normally small vessel to a larger ocean-going vessel. As the ships get larger, the elevator requirements get larger. Land side - there is an increasing need to elevate tunnel muck from below grade to above grade, and bucket elevators or cleated sidewall belts are not the preferred solution owing to material carry-back, which are existing concerns with these systems.
