Published purpose

The online event ticket market is expected to grow to over $67 billion by 2025. The space is currently dominated by a few large players that charge high fees, are slow in paying out money that is owed to event organizers, and most importantly, offer very little in terms of security and fraud prevention. Our goal is to create a smart contract-powered event ticket system that is simple, cost-effective, pays organizers in a timely fashion and addresses fraud prevention concerns using smart contracts. The knowledge gained through this project will additionally shape our thinking and vision for other such identity solutions across many domains, already identified by the team and yet to be discovered.
