Published purpose
The objective of this project is the installation of wire harnesses on electric motors, drivetrains and battery packs using collaborative robots (Cobots). The project will focus on the development of an adaptive collaborative robot (ACoBot) by integrating a smart Flexible Vision System (FV) with a CoBot. The ACoBot will be using Artificial Intelligence algorithms to identify wire harnesses, electric motors/drivetrain and battery pack components. The system must be easy to deploy with no additional programming when the assembly environment undergoes minor changes. Retraining with new data should happen automatically.
