Published purpose
This project will develop a clinical decision and intervention product guided by the fusion of medical imaging and invasive pressure readings in the catheterization laboratory. The platform will support the production of instrumented guidewires that are easy to maneuver and observe by fluoroscopy during catheter-based aortic valve replacements and coronary interventions. Software will integrate the registration of pressure measurements on angiograms, allow data assimilation with fluid mechanics models and provide a hemodynamic picture including indices of valve regurgitation, coronary flow reserve and myocardial resistance pre- and post-interventions.
