Published purpose

KA Imaging is already selling a first generation dual energy X-ray detector to hospitals in Canada, USA and five other global markets. For this project, we will build a second generation portable dual energy X-ray detector using mechanically flexible sensors to reduce weight and dramatically improve ruggedization. Moreover, we will integrate AI algorithms with the detector for rapid, remote X-ray diagnostics of disease until a full diagnosis can be made by a trained radiologist. The commercial prototype will be demonstrated at a high profile remote clinical site and will create an opportunity to access new markets.
