Published purpose
To address the challenges of SARS2 COVID-19 pandemic, messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) vaccines were developed. While mRNA vaccines and other RNA therapeutics are powerful tools in combatting diseases, their shelf-life is dependent on the integrity of cold chain logistics - the necessity of always storing the vaccine between 4?C and 8?C or at -80?C. This project investigates the potential of protecting mRNA vaccines from degradation by utilizing D2O in multiple ways.
