Published purpose
The number of individuals aged 65+ is projected to double from 703 million in 2019 to 1.5 billion globally by 2050. In response to this expected growth, there will be an increasing demand for well-trained caregivers. To address this we are developing Caregiver VR, a VR/Desktop platform that enables live VR role-playing simulations between users in front of a virtual classroom. This platform will also empower end-users to practice interactions with and experience the world from the perspective of those experiencing dementia and ageing. This helps caregivers to share core soft & hard skills in a hands-on and engaging way globally, reduces training costs, increases accessibility, all leading to better healthcare outcomes of patients.
