Published purpose

This project is focused on product development of both the Instrumar Fiber System (IFS) and the Instrumar Flight Ice Monitoring System (IFIMS) technologies. The applications share a common knowledge base that allows the technical team to cross fertilize challenges and solutions. The fiber and ice development objectives overlap on a number of fronts including lowering costs, and increasing value and functionality to the firm's offering(s). For fiber, this should increase customer demand and open new market segments for their product. For ice this should help attract potential partner(s) to take responsibility for overall system design, regulatory certification, OEM/aircraft specific certification, and marketing/sales.
