Published purpose

The project is to create an environmental monitoring system to meet the requirements of the offshore construction industry. This will combine a small, deployable, autonomous platform and potentially a fixed mooring, suitable for high flow environments once the project is finished and becomes operational. The mobile system will be deployable from unmanned surface vehicles and capable of moving from one site to another quickly and autonomously. In addition, the system will offer the fusion of acoustic data from the underwater sensors with visual data from cameras on a surface expression. This allows the system to be deployed in highly mobile marine construction projects such a pile driving in support of wind farm development.
