Published purpose

The project is to develop three new Mouthpiece configurations and achieve accurate calibrations. The three new Mouthpieces are: Bilateral Mouthpiece (the left and right bite force measurement); Unitary Mouthpiece (the single quadrant bite force measurement); and the Wireless Mouthpiece (the measurement and digital transfer of bite force data independent of any wires via Bluetooth). These additional Mouthpieces are part of an improvement upon our design in order to respond to the demands of our clientele, which is to have different ways to measure the bite force of a patient. This will give clients an understanding of the patient's bite force in areas of concern, not currently measured by the current Full-Arch Mouthpiece.
