Published purpose
The Public Place Network (PPN) is an infrastructure vendor that gives customers the ability to create and manage their own Over The Top (OTT, See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Over-the-top_media_service) media service. The existing PPN prototype provides creators with tools such as custom site hosting, video streaming, advertising, subscriptions, payment processing, etc., providing an easily customizable interface where customers can build an OTT service specific to their business needs and consumer engagement. The project goals are: ● To simplify the entire OTT media sector experience of data storage, hosting, serving, streaming, viewing, etc. by providing a single service where content creators do not need to concern themselves with the infrastructure ● To create a next generation, technologically disruptive OTT platform that will replace the existing prototype platform. The existing prototype platform was developed by a third-party vendor and was sufficient for the prototyping.
