Published purpose
Building on the accomplishments of MLX-1, MLX-2 will focus on the application of machine learning and optimal control of industrial heating and cooling processes in selected markets. The submitted proposal is to develop an Optimal Control application that will reduce energy use and GHG emissions in industrial heating and cooling plants by 10-15%. while maintaining stable, reliable plant operations. Over the past four years, Mariner’s clients have expressed ever-growing interest in new forms of automation, and increasingly, automation enabled by the emerging capabilities of machine learning technology.
