Published purpose

AgGene is targeting the improvement of protein content in economically important pulse and oilseed crops through the use of advanced plant breeding technology. AgGene has characterized a portfolio of genetic targets that can be manipulated through the use of genome editing to drive high protein content in seed tissues. High protein seed commodities can be leveraged for the expanding plant protein sector to help position Canada as a global leader in plant-based protein production.
