Published purpose
Our core software has a scalability issue that is preventing us to grow and serve clients with over 200K digital objects (which represents most of our leads and historical projects in legacy frameworks). Specifically, the DGI I8 Helper module and the Embargo module share an approach for adding access restrictions using query tagging. This approach is non-performant in a large site. We see an extreme slow down when accessing content and uploading files. Supporting this piece of work is a direct R&D play - we’re not sure what the fix is in the Drupal ecosystem - requires some exploration and further build out.
