Published purpose

Kovatera specializes in manufacturing a full range of custom underground mining utility vehicles, including several battery powered EV’s. Demand for connected EV's among our customers, and in the mining utility vehicle market, is growing at a fast pace. The KNXT project represents Kovatera’s battery electric vehicle technology development. The KNXT objectives are to design, build and validate a battery electric vehicle for underground mining applications. With the completion of the project, Kovatera will have developed and internalized the vehicle management software in house. In addition, we will integrate telemetry and crash avoidance systems, two key technologies for the success in the market.
