Published purpose
Membrane technology is broadly utilized in desalination, water purification, and wastewater treatment in many industrial processes. Reverse osmosis (RO) process with the core of membranes has been recognized as a promising technology for seawater desalination and hardness removal; however, these membranes suffer from fouling. In this project, a simple, reliable, and easy-to-scale method will be developed to mitigate the fouling propensity of RO membranes with no adverse effect on permeability.
