Published purpose

This project aims to scale an Indigenous & Women-led Natural Resource Enterprise in Northern Canada by implementing Green Manufacturing Technology. Aurora Heat, Inc., known for its handmade wild beaver fur warmers, faces limited inventory output due to hiring challenges in Fort Smith, NWT. This has hindered growth since Fall/Winter 2021, with products selling out by mid-November missing key sales demand months of December, January, and February. The proposed technology will scale the manufacturing of their best-selling products and make it possible for the company to continue operating in the remote community of Fort Smith, NWT.
