Published purpose
This project will help Trip Ninja both determine ways to calculate flight risk and create a net improvement in how costly and time-consuming queries can be. While there are other virtual interlining products on the market, none currently predict the likelihood of cancellation on any particular itinerary. This information is important to the consumer, but also allows for more accurate pricing for online travel agencies. Trip Ninja will find ways to reduce cost per query, decrease lag time, and add important information regarding on-time performance to each itinerary. We will do this using historical data to augment our current machine learning capabilities and create new opportunities for VI itineraries.
