Published purpose

The current project is to commercialize a research scale 20L photobioreactor (PBR), with targeted sales of the same to algae research institutions, colleges, universities, Government laboratories and commercial algae companies. The PBR design has evolved over 3 years and has been working well for the past 2 years. On-going modifications have improved functionality and durability. The PBR addresses fouling and has proven to double known algae densities and yields from published values. It is capable of integrating multiple research sensors with monitoring and control functions. The project is to design and construct an industrial designed prototype to showcase and to begin selling units at a first algae conference in Sep 2023.
