Published purpose

CarbonCure is establishing a new technology in addition to its current products that will have a significant ability to permanently remove carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere. This technology uses Recycled Concrete Aggregates (RCA) which comes from waste and demolished concrete sources, and injects CO2 into this material. This process has no negative effect on the properties of the RCA and its ability to be used as a road base material. Once at scale, each RCA location will have the ability to remove hundreds of tons of CO2 from the atmosphere every year. In order to further develop the project, a new pilot plant in California is being proposed to further validate and develop the technology.
