Published purpose
The Project is aimed at the development of process models and high-quality datasets for life cycle and cost assessment of CO2 conversion technologies and scalable H2 production solutions. Following a data quality check, the d available to researchers through open access. The Project will initially focus on building high quality life cycle inventory (LCI) and life cycle cost inventory (LCCI) datasets for mature technologies including captured CO2 conversion to e-fuels (CCTeF) and direct air carbon to e-fuels (DACeF) and later focus on early-stage CO2 and H2 technologies. A benchmarking framework will be also developed and implemented to enable a fair comparison of early stage and mature technologies. The LCA/TEA Project team will assess current and forecast future performance using end-to-end process modeling considering operating conditions close to "real-world" operations. Insights on promising CO2/H2 technologies and other carbon mitigation solutions will be provided
