Published purpose

It is the purpose of this project to create an semi automatic to automatic polishing solution for the diamonds that come out of the DaVinci Diamond Factory laser machine. In order to do so, there are key new designs that need to be implemented. These designs center around: 1. Polishing Wheels- A newly designed formula for fine polishing the diamonds within different micron of mesh. 2. Alignment of diamond: Through advanced vision systems- A system needs to be developed to makes sure the diamond is level to the wheel and the angle of attack of the polishing wheel is correct 3. CNC Machine- A newly developed machine to hold both the wheels, vision system and fixture of the diamond needs to be finalized
